Calvin & Hobbes' Tags disconnected
Calvin & Hobbes' satellite tags were scheduled to disconnect on January 17th, 2010. Hobbes' PAT tag washed up on Tecolote beach in La Paz, Baja California and was found by a restaurant owner in La Paz! On January 27, 2010 the tag was picked up by Adoptashark creator, Luke Inman, and shark biologist, Estrella Holm. Adopting a Shark is a fun and unique way to get involved in shark and ray conservation. AdoptaShark is an excellent program for adults and kids because everybody learns A LOT about sharks and the oceans. Adopting a shark means that you will get to know your tagged shark and follow it as it moves around the seas. As we learn new information about your shark, we will pass it on to you via our website. Bear in mind however, that the tracking tags will only be attached to each shark from 3-6 months, after which time we/you will no longer recieve new tracking information for that shark.
